Wish i’d posted this sooner, missed the boat a little bit but, hey ho! Go get stoked again for the NFG video coming out soon by watching this new trailer from the Newcastle Fixed Gear boys. Properly excited to see their full video now. This little clip will hopefully break the lull in fast bike vids of late.

Dosnoventa Round Logo Tee’s

When i first saw Dosnoventa it was their frames that enticed me into the brand. Next was their really well thought out logo and beautiful livery on each frame they produce.

From what i can remember of high school Spanish, Dos Noventa translates to the number 290 or 29cm and this just so happens to be the height of every bottom bracket in their range.. pretty cool if you ask me.

They have just restocked their t-shirts online so head over to their big cartel and snatch up a couple.

Currently in Small to X-Large and in Navy Blue or Black (although they’ve already sold out of Small and Large in the Navy so don’t hang about if you want one!).

You must have seen these bikes by now, they’ve been all over the internet recently, here’s a link to the frame that i personally want, which i posted up earlier this year or head over to Prolly and check out the amazing Tokyo carbon frame.

Anthony from Freqnt Flyr sent me an email about a new frame he’s creating called The Kama. This is taken from the Freqnt Flyr website…

Stay tuned for our new frame (only) designed for urban racers and aggressive commuters. Developed with a pursuit-style cockpit and fine-tuned geometry, the Kama is optimized for sprinting and climbing the streets. For faster quality control and efficient R&D, each frame is handmade in Southern California…

Looking forward to seeing more of this soon.

Rudy Melo vs Airplanes

The 5th Floor‘s very own Rudy Melo went over to San Diego a little bit ago to race in the awesome Wolfpack Hustle.

Whilst he was there, he had some photo’s done of him picking up his new Kagero, at the Leader warehouse, and also had some great composite photos done of him riding around underneath a San Diego flight path.

I really need to go and ride somewhere warm, dry and sunny soon. As much as i love riding in the UK, it’s so grim… especially up north! See more over on RecFail.

Pretty much everything that i’ve seen come out of the Golden Saddle Cyclery is quality. Their hats are sweet and the actual shop is too cool! I’ve just spied that they’ve released a pre-order on some a new kit, jerseys, shorts and some arm warmers. Needless to say, they’re nothing short of stunning.

They’re on pre-order until the 4th May and then according to Tracko they’ll be with you within 4 weeks. I don’t know about UK shipping so email kyle@goldensaddlecyclery.com with any questions.

Found via Tracko and there is a load more photo’s here.

If you cast your mind back a few posts, you’ll remember that Tokyo Fixed Gear have got a few new frames coming out soon. One of which i am very interested in which is ‘The Dart’.

This built up Dart frame/forks looks great, can’t wait to see one in the flesh. Looks like i’m taking a trip to London when they’ve got some in store. Another awesome piece of news is that they’re planning on dropping this frame and forks for less than £300!! Bangin’ price!

Check up on the TFG site for more news and head over to their Flickr for more images.

2 Years Old

Happy birthday to us! On this day 2 years ago, i put this blog together. Things were a lot different back then to how it is right now, but it’s still been brilliant. It’s pretty crazy how fast 2 years fly by, but they’ve been great and i hope the years following will be as good as these have been.

Thanks to everyone for the support, you’re all awesome! :)

I suppose this i a better time than ever to tell you all that we’re releasing our Deaf Pigeon jersey in the next few weeks for pre-order, along with a brand new logo and “brand”. So keep your eyes peeled for that! Follow us on the twitters and facebook for more updates before they come on the blog.

New Grime Bikes Site

It must be the season of new websites. I’ve just posted up about the new Kagero website and technically i should’ve been the first person to post this up considering i designed and built it, but because of that reason, i haven’t had time to do it, so here it is… THE NEW GRIME BIKES WEBSITE.

You should probably go there and let me know what you think of it?

It’s been a load of fun creating this with Joe Krillz and i can’t wait to see him and the Grime Team grow this even more over the coming weeks and months.
