So this Sunday see’s the final stage of Le Tour De France (if you’ve not been watching then you have definitely been missing out), anyway… To mark the final stage and what could be British winner, one of our local bike shops, The Green Jersey have put on a day of tour.

Starting at 12 noon with a hill climb time trial up one of the steeper hills around here, the 1.6mile climb up Pendle Hill will ruin even the most regular and hardened of cyclists. Riders will start in 1 minute intervals and compete against the clock to win. Prizes will be announced on the day.

From 1 onwards there will be cheese, French bread and wine until 2pm and then the final round of the tour will be broadcast in the cafe back at The Green Jersey.

This is shaping up to be a great day out and a perfect way to enjoy the end of the tour. We’ll be there and competing so come say hi if you’re about.
