Yesterday saw the Red Bull Minidrome make it’s way to Manchester, and what an event it was. After seeing so many pictures and video’s of the London and Glasgow Minidrome’s i was excited to see what Manchester was going to offer up.
Safe to say, i wasn’t disappointed… There was amazing racing, some tasty crashes and lots of fun!
I’m no photo/videographer, so these photos on click through might not be up to some peoples standards, in all honesty, i was too busy watching the racing.
Also, click through for the final results and who claimed which podium spot.
Podium
1st. Toms Alsbergs
2nd. Ricky Crompton
3rd. Janis Savickis
One of the manchester locals Richard Von Long on his qualifying lap!
Crashes galore!
Got chance to speak to the legend and super nice guy that is Chris Akrigg. Hope he recovers to 100% soon, his limp was looking pretty painful at some points during the day, courtesy of his recent fall (Video here). Hope your legs fixes fast dude!!
Here’s a video of Toms Alsbergs first place qualifying time which he held till the end of qualifying and then went on to actually win the Red Bull Minidrome in Manchester. (He does have his own Minidrome in his backyard though. Lucky!)
This is Preston’s very own Rob Helm in his race against Robbie Wills. Unfortunately, he didn’t win his race… but he put up a good fight!
